Volderer See

The Volderer See or Lake Volders is a small lake near the village of Volders, Austria. The lake, which has shrunk significantly, losing a large part of its size, now resembles a pond. The lake has no natural inflow or outflow, and receives water primarily from rain, and also the groundwater of the Inn River. The water quality is moderate, vying between grades B and C, and is often plagued by algae. The lake is surrounded by a small forest, and lies left of Karls Church, by the motorway bridge at the entrance of the village Volders.
According to a myth, a giant blocked an inflow to the lake with a large boulder, thus resulting in shrinking of its size.
