Thittivasal


Thittivasal is a 2017 Indian Tamil action drama film directed by Prathapmuraali and Produced by Srinivas Rao under the banner K3 Cine Creations.'Thittivasal' focuses on the struggles faced by a community of tribal people who are being displaced from their mountain homes for the personal gains of the greedy government officials. Music is composed by Harish – Sathish & German Vijay. It stars Nassar, Mahendran and Ajay Rathnam in pivotal roles. It was released on 3 November 2017. Lyrics are penned by Na. Muthukumar and Stunts by Thriller Manju.

Plot

The tribal girl Semparuthi residing is Mullaiparai Village Tamil Nadu, Ooty tries to meet the district collector and narrate the incidents that happened there. But since she could not meet him and succeed in her attempts, she immolates herself. This makes the Collector to see her and Semparuthi apprises him of the happenings, which were very agonising.
Mullaiparai people lead their lives by getting guidance and inspiration from Ondamoopan. Forest department minister Kariappa plans to grab some areas of the village with the connivance of the officials. He harasses the villages with the help of the police. Muthu and Kumaran who oppose him are put in the prison and brings out the truth by waging a struggle against the criminals in the courts. The law punishes the perpetrators. But Kariappa and Jamal get bail and are released. Muthu and Kumaran get enraged and with the help of some others, they attack Kariappa and kill them.

Thittivasal audio launch event held at Chennai. Celebrities including like S. Ve. Shekher, Krish, Mime Gopi, G Dhananjayan, Thanu Shetty, Praveen Gandhi, R. Aravindraj, Dheeraj, Prathap Murali, Siva Murugan, J Sathish and others graced the event.

Reception

Thittivasal has a lot in common with the 2014 film Kaadu. As in that film, this one also deals with tribal people who are being forced to give up their land by a collusion of government officials. “Thittivasal” is the rural entertainer film with a promising star cast. View7 media says "Emotion of a community, which forced to shoot out with strong feeling".
