Takeda Nobukado


Takeda Nobukado was a Japanese samurai warrior of the Sengoku period. He was known as one of the "Twenty-Four Generals of Takeda Shingen".

Early life

Nobukado was a brother of Takeda Shingen.

Family

Nobukado commanded the Takeda central company in the Battle of Nagashino, as an adviser under Katsuyori.
Nobukado attempted to flee when in 1582 Nobunaga invaded the Takeda lands, but he ended up being captured and beheaded, along with many other Takeda retainers.

In popular culture

Nobukado is one of the main characters in Akira Kurosawa's epic film Kagemusha.
