Santa Ynez Stakes


The Santa Ynez Stakes is an American Thoroughbred horse race run annually in mid January at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California. The race is open to three-year-old fillies willing to race seven furlongs on the dirt. The race is a Grade II event with a current purse of $200,000 and is part of the Road to the Kentucky Oaks.

In 1952, the race was held in January and again in December rather than January 1953.
It was run in two divisions in 1984.
