Ron Rubin (voice actor)

Ron Rubin is a Canadian veteran voice actor who has worked on many animation series including X-Men, Avengers, C.O.P.S., Police Academy, Beetlejuice, Stickin' Around and Care Bears. His voice is most easily recognized as that of Ttark from Kratt’s Creatures and Artemis from the English translation of Sailor Moon.

Career

Rubin also worked as a writer for Fame, Sharon, Lois & Bram's Elephant Show and Palmerstown U.S.A. He was the executive in charge of the American documentary series The American Experience.
Rubin has stated that his work playing a dinosaur that appears in a computer screen on the cult television show Kratt’s Creatures was life changing and opened his eyes to the struggles wild life face.
During the filming of Kratt’s Creatures, Rubin also served in a mentor-ship capacity to the Kratt Brothers, who credit Rubin with teaching them everything they needed to know about show business. “Ron Rubin is like the big brother I never had..” Chris Kratt is often known to joke.
Rubin is currently shopping around an autobiography titled “I am Ttark- A Life Behind the Microphone” to publishers. Martin Kratt has written the foreword and is quoted as saying “Ron Rubin soars above other voiceover artists like a peregrine falcon.. his intellect is faster than a cheetah, and he loves his colleagues like a lion watching over his pride..”
At ComicCon 2017, Rubin surprised the Kratt Brothers by sneaking up on them on stage in a Ttark costume. Shannon Duff joined him by swinging in on a rope swing. The Kratt Brothers, so touched by the reunion, had to leave the stage briefly to compose themselves. The quartet then embarked on a stunning and emotional tribute to the extinct Tasmanian tiger.
