Prime Minister of Belarus


The Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus is the office of the head of government of Belarus. He/she leads the Council of Ministers of Belarus, the central government body, and is accountable to the president and the National Assembly. The Prime Minister is nominated by the President of Belarus and is confirmed by the House of Representatives, which is the lower house of the National Assembly. Once the Prime Minister is appointed they form a 30 member cabinet which consists of ministers and chairmen, the latter of which is a non-ministerial post.

The official workplace of the Prime Minister is at Government House on Independence Square. Since 4 June 2020, the Prime Minister has been Roman Golovchenko.
