Muhammad Haroon Tariq is a Pakistani student, notable for making seven world records by getting a total of 87
A grades. He has 30 A grades in GCE Advanced Level, 29 A grades in IGCSE and 28 A grades in GCE Ordinary Level. He passed his GCE Advanced Level from Froebel's International School Islamabad in Pakistan.

Early life

Muhammad was born in Kohat, Khyber Pukhtunkhwa, Pakistan. He lived most of his life in Karachi, Peshawar and Islamabad. He is the second youngest child of his family and his father was an army officer. He studied at Army Public Schools and Colleges System in Peshawar and Froebel's International School in Islamabad during his General Certificate of Education.

World records

Haroon Tariq has set a total of seven world records. His first world record is 30 A grades in GCE Advanced Level. His second world record is 29 A grades in IGCSE. His third world record is 28 A grades in GCE Ordinary Level. His fourth world record is 57 A grades in GCE Ordinary Level and IGCSE combined. His fifth world record is 76 A grades in Cambridge International Examinations. His sixth world record is 87 A grades in GCE Advanced Level, GCE Ordinary Level and IGCSE combined. His seventh and last world record is 40 A* grades in GCE Advanced Level, GCE Ordinary Level and IGCSE combined.

Haroon’s GCE Advanced Level result was taken up by the International media. He was interviewed by or quoted in a number of newspapers and TV channels including BBC, CNN, NBC, Saudi Gazette, The Asian Today, Geo News, The News Tribe, Express News, Dunya News, Dawn News, Geo Entertainment, The Tribune, Aaj News, Jang Group of Newspapers, The Express Tribune, PTV News, Samaa TV, ARY News, ATV, PTV Home, Abb Takk News, Capital TV, Roze News, Khyber News and A-Plus Entertainment among others. He was called by BBC World News as “Pakistan’s Brainiest Student”.
Haroon Tariq was given a number of awards, including the National Book Ambassador Pakistan which is one of the highest honours in Pakistan. Haroon was congratulated personally by the President of Pakistan. President Mamnoon Hussain invited him as a guest to rendezvous with him. He was invited by Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Rashad Mahmood to congratulate him on his monumental achievement. Imran Khan came to Haroon Tariq's school to congratulate him and encouraged the youth of Pakistan to follow in Haroon Tariq's footsteps. In addition, many TV channels including BBC in Britain and ARY News, Samaa TV, Express News, Geo News, Aaj News, A-Plus Entertainment, Geo Entertainment, Abb Takk News, PTV Home, ATV, Capital TV, Roze News, Khyber News and PTV News amongst many others in Pakistan invited him as a guest to various shows.
Haroon Tariq soon joined Pakistan's biggest youth organisation; National Youth Assembly, where he serves as a youth ambassador and a federal speaker, using his position to highlight the issues of young people to the masses where they are often neglected.

Personal life

Haroon Tariq claims that he was an ordinary student, whose academic performance oscillated as a child. He has claimed that he wishes to achieve greatness and elevate his homeland. He received 28 A grades in his GCE Ordinary Level, along with a distinction award in combined science. He received 29 A grades in IGCSE and 30 A grades in his GCE Advanced Level. He is a football fan, watches Premier League and is a supporter of Manchester City F.C. He plays as a winger for his local team.
Haroon Tariq spent his primary education in many different cities which include Karachi, Pano Akil, Tarbela and Mangla because of his father’s regular transfers in the Pakistan Army but it was in Army Public School Peshawar where he really excelled. There, he decided to appear for many different GCE Ordinary Level and IGCSE subjects to test his limits and claimed seven world records in the process.
Most recently, the President of the National Youth Assembly selected him as the Youth Ambassador. There were approximately 25,000 members who were considered for this position and he was one of the four to be nominated for this position. The assembly promotes education within Pakistan. He plans to come back to Pakistan after earning his degree to continue this promotion of education in Pakistan.
