Gordan Ciprić


Gordan Ciprić is a Croatian former footballer who played as a midfielder, and the current assistant manager of Kayserispor.
Born in Zagreb, Ciprić graduated from the Faculty of Kinesiology.

Playing career

In his playing career he played for Inter Zaprešić, NK Zagreb, HNK Šibenik, Metalac, HAŠK, Eintracht Sondershausen, FSV Wacker 90 Nordhausen, Borussia and VfB Bad Rappenau. He played for the youth teams of GNK Dinamo Zagreb and Hajduk Split.
He also won prominent minifootball tournament in Yugoslavia, later Croatia "Kutija Šibica" in 1989. playing together with Zvonimir Boban and Robert Prosinečki for minifootball club Termotehna Šela.

Coaching career

As a head coach he led the GNK Dinamo Zagreb youth team, Hrvatski Dragovoljac, HAŠK, NK Zagreb and as an assistant manager he worked in GNK Dinamo Zagreb, Croatia U21, NK Zagreb, Slaven Belupo,Kayserispor, Azerbaijan national team and Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.
He was also the personal coach of footballer Robert Prosinečki when he was playing in Portsmouth F.C. and Standard Liège. From 2007 to 2012 he served as scout of the Croatian national football team. He has worked with many Croatian coaches such as Slaven Bilić, Ivo Šušak, Nikola Jurčević and Robert Prosinečki.
On 15 October 2012,it was confirmed that he would be assistant manager to Robert Prosinečki at Kayserispor. He left Kayserispor along with Robert Prosinečki.
He was appointed on December 4, 2014 as an assistant coach to Robert Prosinečki in the Azerbaijan national football team.
On October 27, 2017 it was confirmed that Robert Prosinečki left the Azerbaijan national team together with his assistants.
In January 2018 he was appointed as an assistant coach to Robert Prosinečki in Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team. On November 27, 2019 it was confirmed that Prosinečki and his asistants will leave Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team after mutual agreement with Bosnian football federation. They secured playoff for UEFA Euro 2020 but will not be in charge of Bosnia and Herzegovina for playoff matches in March 2020.
In December 2019 he was named as an assistant manager to Robert Prosinečki in turkish Super Lig club Kayserispor. This is his second time that he is working in Kayserispor, he was also assistant manager to Robert Prosinečki in Kayserispor from 2012 to 2014.
