Fehren is a municipality in the district of Thierstein in the canton of Solothurn in Switzerland.
History
Fehren is first mentioned in 1371 as der Hofe in Ferren.Geography
Fehren has an area,, of. Of this area, or 54.7% is used for agricultural purposes, while or 30.4% is forested. Of the rest of the land, or 15.5% is settled, or 0.7% is either rivers or lakes.Of the built up area, housing and buildings made up 10.1% and transportation infrastructure made up 4.1%. Of the agricultural land, 9.5% is used for growing crops and 40.5% is pastures, while 4.7% is used for orchards or vine crops. All the water in the municipality is flowing water.
The municipality is located in the Thierstein district, on the eastern slope above the Breitenbach valley.

The secondary school program consists of three lower, obligatory years of schooling, followed by three to five years of optional, advanced schools.
