Clementina Batalla
Clementina Batalla was a lawyer, teacher and forerunner of the struggle for women's rights in Mexico. At the age of 20, she was one of the first female law students in Mexico. In 1920, she was admitted as a lawyer in the National School of Jurisprudence, which made her the second lawyer received in her alma mater. The struggle for the rights and opportunities of women, universal peace and human rights made Batalla found the Union of Mexican Women, which in 1964 held its first Annual Congress.
