Bill Summers (musician)


Bill Summers is a percussionist who plays primarily conga drums.

Career

During the 1970s, he was a member of The Headhunters with Herbie Hancock. In 1998 Summers, Irvin Mayfield, and Jason Marsalis started the band Los Hombres Calientes in New Orleans. With Quincy Jones he worked on the scores for the movie The Color Purple and the television miniseries Roots.
