Amuca tribe


The Amuca tribe is one of the nomadic Oghuz Turks tribes, of the Ottoman Empire, which moved from Anatolia to the Balkans. At the end of 14th Century, this clan established a settled life in Ottoman Thrace.
Today some of them live in Kırklareli Province. The first founded village of this tribe was Keşirlik, located in the Mahya Dağı.

Origin

Amuca Tribe, belongs to the longitudinal Kayı tribe. They are derived from relatives of the Ottoman Dynasty through descendants of Gündüz Alp, the oldest son of Ertoğrul. Male members from the Amuca tribe, was tested from the village's Muratlı, Karamesutlu and Kapaklı, the result show's they belong to Y-DNA Haplogroup J-M172. Thus refuted the wrong statement who is given in some pages, who show's a person's Y-DNA of R1a, because the same Y-DNA of this Person is also given with other Pseudostorys, always with different Ancestor's. In reality this Person's paternal grandfather side belong to the Romani people in Turkey, while his paternal grandmother belong to the Bulgarian Turks in Turkey.
The Amuca tribe speak a dialect of old Ottoman Turkish language.
