Zhang Hongliang
Zhang Hongliang is a Chinese Maoist author, social commentator, scholar and former teacher at the Minzu University of China. He is a leading figure of the Chinese New Left movement. Chinese New Leftist scholar Kong Qingdong called him the "Red Tank Driver".Biography
Zhang has served as columnist of several publications, such as the Red Song Club Network, National Revival Network and Utopia. He is a supporter of communist orthodoxy and has expressed nationalist beliefs, as well as sentiments critical of the United States, and the West. As a Maoist, he is a critic of Deng Xiaoping and his followers because of the "revisionist" Reform and Opening.
