Yosef Govrin


Yosef Govrin is an Israeli Diplomat who served in Israel's Foreign Service between 1953 and 1995. He was Ambassador to Romania. He’s also served as Ambassador to Austria, Slovenia, Slovakia and the United Nations in Vienna.

Biography

Govrin is an alumnus of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem received his BA, MA and PhD degrees in Contemporary Jewish History and International Relations.
During World War II, he and his mother were deported to Transnistria concentration camp in the Ukraine.
