Yeoman was platted in 1880. It was named for Col. Yeoman, a railroad employee.

There were 51 households of which 49.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 43.1% were married couplesliving together, 11.8% had a female householder with no husband present, 19.6% had a male householder with no wife present, and 25.5% were non-families. 21.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 7.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.73 and the average family size was 2.92. The median age in the town was 27.1 years. 28.8% of residents were under the age of 18; 13.8% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 30.1% were from 25 to 44; 23% were from 45 to 64; and 4.3% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the town was 49.6% male and 50.4% female.

The average household size was 2.40 and the average family size was 3.04. In the town, the population was spread out with 27.1% under the age of 18, 9.4% from 18 to 24, 31.3% from 25 to 44, 25.0% from 45 to 64, and 7.3% who were 65 years of age or older.
