Wisen is a municipality in the district of Gösgen in the canton of Solothurn in Switzerland.
Geography
Wisen has an area,, of. Of this area, or 54.2% is used for agricultural purposes, while or 40.2% is forested. Of the rest of the land, or 6.1% is settled.Of the built up area, housing and buildings made up 2.9% and transportation infrastructure made up 2.5%. Out of the forested land, 36.4% of the total land area is heavily forested and 3.8% is covered with orchards or small clusters of trees. Of the agricultural land, 8.2% is used for growing crops and 36.6% is pastures, while 2.3% is used for orchards or vine crops and 7.1% is used for alpine pastures.
The municipalities of Hauenstein-Ifenthal, Trimbach, Wisen and Olten are considering a merger at a date in the future into the new municipality of with an,, undetermined name.

Wisen has a population of. , 2.9% of the population are resident foreign nationals. Over the last 10 years the population has changed at a rate of 1.7%.Most of the population speaks German, with Romansh being second most common and Romansh being third.
