Winwin


Dong Sicheng, known professionally as Winwin, is a Chinese singer, rapper, and dancer based in South Korea and China. He is best known as a member of the South Korean boy group, NCT and its sub-units NCT 127, NCT U, and China-based unit WayV.

Early life

Winwin was born on 28 October 1997 in Lucheng District, Wenzhou, Zhejiang province, China. In 2009, Winwin was admitted to the Affiliated Secondary School of Beijing Dance Academy where he ranked first in the Chinese Classical Dance department.

Career

Pre-debut

On 5 January 2016, Winwin was introduced as a member of SM Entertainment's pre-debut trainee group, SM Rookies.
On 1 February 2016, a of Winwin performing a beautiful rendition of Chinese classical dance was released as the third installment of NCT's debut teasers on SM Town's official .

2016-2017: Debut and early days with NCT 127

On 9 April 2016, Winwin appeared alongside NCT U in China at the 16th Music Feng Yun Bang Awards for their first live performance of "". At the time, Winwin has not been officially introduced as a member of NCT. On the same day, he also made a cameo on both the Korean and Chinese version of NCT U's debut music video for "".
On 1 July 2016, Winwin was announced as a member of NCT's second unit, NCT 127 along with Taeil, Taeyong, Yuta, Jaehyun, Mark, and Haechan. The unit is based in Seoul, with the number "127" representing the first three digits of the city's longitude coordinate.
On 7 July 2016, Winwin made his official debut as a member of NCT 127 with the title track "".

2018: NCT U and NCT 2018

On 18 February 2018, Winwin made his second debut in the sub-unit, NCT U, with "" alongside members Taeyong, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, Lucas, and Mark.
On 22 November 2018, it was announced that Winwin would not be participating in NCT 127's comeback activities for the repackaged edition of their first studio album, Regular-Irregular, titled Regulate, so that he could prepare for his third debut with NCT's China-based sub-unit.
On 31 December 2018, SM Entertainment announced NCT's fourth sub-unit, WayV, which will be based in China. Winwin was announced as a member alongside Kun, Ten, Lucas, Hendery, Xiaojun, and Yangyang.

2019-present: WayV and solo endeavors

is managed under Label V, SM Entertainment's new exclusive Chinese label and officially debuted on 17 January 2019 with their debut EP The Vision and the Chinese version of NCT 127's "Regular" as its lead single. SM Entertainment CEO Chris Lee acknowledged that WayV is NCT's China-based unit in a press conference.
On 30 March 2019, Winwin joined as a cast member of Hunan Television's My Brilliant Masters alongside Wowkie Zhang, Yu Xiaoguang, and Liu Yuning.

Personal life

Winwin has lived away from his family since 2009, when he moved from Wenzhou to Beijing in order to attend Beijing Dance Academy for six years. In 2015, he moved to Seoul, where he became a trainee at South Korea's largest entertainment company, SM Entertainment. Winwin has said that since his primary school graduation, he's only been able to visit his family in Wenzhou for about a few days each year. He also has an older sister who has been living in New Zealand for a long time.
Winwin currently attends Central Academy of Drama where he majors in Performing Arts.
