Włosty, Gołdap County
Włosty is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Gołdap, within Gołdap County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland, close to the border with the Kaliningrad Oblast of Russia. It lies approximately south-west of Gołdap and north-east of the regional capital Olsztyn.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany. After World War II the region was placed under Polish administration by the Potsdam Agreement Most Germans fled or were expelled and replaced with Poles expelled from the Polish areas annexed by the Soviet Union or Ukrainians forced to settle in the area through Operation Vistula in 1947.
