Votice


Votice is a municipality and town in Benešov District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. The municipality covers an area of km² and as of 2007 it had a population of 4.482. There is a high hill named Mezivrata just south of the town.
During the mobilization in 1938, votice was commanded by the 1st Air. Czechoslovak Army Corps under the command of the Russian Legionnaires and Masaryk's World War I correspondent Jan Šípek.
