Vladimir Bulatović Vib


Vladimir Bulatović Vib was a Serbian writer, satirist and aphorist, journalist and editor. He was born in Sopotsko in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. He studied journalism and diplomacy and graduated from the University of Belgrade Faculty of Philosophy.

Work

He was a longtime editor of Politika and chief editor of Politikin Zabavnik. He was voted the best satirist of all time in a poll for the magazine Rhino. The ninth international Satire fest 2011. in Belgrade was dedicated to the eightieth anniversary of his birth. His works include:
The award, named after Vlada Bulatović Vib, was established in 1994 and is given to young writers for their contributions to the field of satire. The award consists of the plaque with the figure of Vib, the art of sculptor Ljubinke Savić - Grassi, a cash prize and a set of Vib's books. Previous winners of the award are:
