Vivien Zapf


Vivien Zapf is a research scientist at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. She received her bachelor's degree in physics with computer science from Harvey Mudd college in 2000 and a PhD in University of California, San Diego in 2003. Zapf studies Multiferrics and Quantum Magnetism. In 2017, she was elected as a Fellow of the American Physical Society for her contribution to the understanding of the quantum mechanical properties of semiconductors. She is on the management committee at the Center for Molecular Magnetic Quantum Materials at the University of Florida.
