Verulamium Museum
Verulamium Museum is a museum in St Albans, Hertfordshire, England. It is situated in what was once the forum of the walled city of Verulamium, next to Verulamium Park.
The museum contains information about the Roman and Iron Age periods of St Albans' history. The later history of the settlement is presented at a Museum of St Albans on another site.
The museum was established following the excavations carried out by Mortimer Wheeler and his wife, Tessa Wheeler, during the 1930s.
It is run by the district council.
Between September 1996 and May 1997, the museum was extended. During the building work, an excavation of the site took place.
It has won an architectural award for its domed entrance.
