Venustiano Carranza, Chiapas


Venustiano Carranza is a city and one of the 119 Municipalities of Chiapas, in southern Mexico.
As of 2010, the municipality had a total population of 61,341, up from 52,833 as of 2005. It covers an area of 1396.1 km².
As of 2010, the city of Venustiano Carranza had a population of 15,496. Other than the city of Venustiano Carranza, the municipality had 436 localities, the largest of which were: San Francisco Pujiltic, Soyatitán, Ricardo Flores Magón, Aguacatenango, Presidente Echeverría , classified as urban, and San Francisco , Vicente Guerrero, Paraíso del Grijalva, Guadalupe Victoria, Mariano Matamoros, Miguel Hidalgo, and El Puerto, classified as rural.
