United Muslims Association of Hong Kong


The United Muslims Association of Hong Kong is an Islamic organisation in Hong Kong. They manage the UMAH Islamic Elderly Home and operate a Madrassa in Tuen Mun, New Territories.

History

The organisation was established in the 1980s by Omar Ramju Sadick.

Activities

UMAH is generally a charitable organisation taking care of elderly homes and running schools.
It operates the UMAH International Primary School in Yuen Long and a home for the elderly, Haji Omar Ramju Sadick Care and Attention Home in Tuen Mun in the New Territories.
The organisation has undergone a leadership struggle and is currently involved in a well-known court case. While judgement has been handed down, the legal precedence of appeal has been used for prolonging the struggle. It is expected to conclude by August 2018.
