Unima
Unima is the largest company in Madagascar and a leading player in the international seafood business.
It was founded by Aziz Islami, a French citizen born in Madagascar, who entered the country's shrimp industry in 1973. The business is now run by his son Amyne Hassam Ismail.
In 2016, the company's aquaculture farm Aqualma in Mahajamba, was the first in Africa to be awarded Aquaculture Stewardship Certification.
