Twinnie-Lee Moore


Twinnie-Lee Moore, known professionally as Twinnie, is an English singer-songwriter and actress, known for playing Porsche McQueen in Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks.

Career

Theatre

In 2009, Moore was cast as murderer Velma Kelly in the 2009/10 touring version of the Kander and Ebb musical Chicago. She then appeared in A Chorus Line, which ran for ten days in May 2010 at the Lowry in Manchester.
Moore was cast as Jazmin in Flashdance The Musical for its Shaftesbury Theatre production opening in October 2010. Moore played a Latina, one of three friends who dance in a club, who together "sing practically the whole show". It was later announced that Moore would not only understudy actress Victoria Hamilton-Barritt, who played lead Alex Owens, but would also perform as the lead every Saturday matinee. According to an interview, the plan was for year-long contracts for all the original cast, and an original cast recording was also planned. However, the show closed on 15 January 2011.
Moore starred in the West End premiere of Rock of Ages in the ensemble and played the lead roles of Sherrie and Justice on many occasions, which opened on 31 August 2011 at the Shaftesbury Theatre and left the production at cast change in September 2012

Film

Moore played Monica in the drama The Wife, alongside Glenn Close, Max Irons and Christian Slater.
In 2014, Moore played the part of Crazy Mary in the movie .

Television

Moore played Nikki Allcott in Doctors which aired on BBC One on 29 July 2013.
In August 2014, it was announced that Moore would be joining the cast of Hollyoaks as Porsche McQueen. She made her first appearance on 4 November 2014. The character highlighted the issues of sexual abuse in children, whilst her other storylines included a failed marriage when her husband had various affairs. Moore left her role in October 2015, with her exit scenes airing on 24 December 2015. Moore was nominated for an Inside Soap Award in 2015.

Music

In 2015, Moore released her debut single, "Cool", on SoundCloud. On 17 February 2016, Moore played The Mint in Los Angeles. On 6 November 2016, Moore performed Live at Zedel with her band and played many of the songs from her catalogue.
Moore signed a record deal with BMG Rights Management on 23 August 2017. She has performed at the event in 2017, 2018 and 2019. Her debut EP Better When I'm Drunk was released on 2 March 2019, with the title track reaching number one on the UK country chart. She will promote the EP with her own headline show at The Borderline on 17 April 2019.
Moore announced a new single, Social Babies would be released on 1 July 2019. It received its radio premiere on BBC Radio 2 on 27 June 2019. The track was added to the B-List on the BBC Radio 2 playlist on 24 July 2019. At the 2019 British Country Music Association Awards, Twinnie received nominations for Female Vocalist of the Year and UK Song of the Year for "Better When I'm Drunk".
Twinnie's debut album, Hollywood Gypsy, will be released on 17 April 2020. It debuted at number 2 on the UK Country Albums Chart.
