Tvarožná (Brno-Country District)


Tvarožná is a village in Brno-Country District, Czech Republic; about 10 km east of Brno. A brook flows through the village. There are also two ponds.

History

The oldest written reference is from the year 1288.
The village is famous for the Battle of Austerlitz in 1805. A hill near the village, called Santon, was a strategic location for Napoleon's army, being occupied by the French general Clapared and his 17th regiment.
