Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there were 1,310 people, 449 households, and 390 families living in the village. The population density was 1,383.2 people per square mile. There were 458 housing units at an average density of 483.6 per square mile. The racial makeup of the village was 97.56% White, 0.31% African American, 0.08% Native American, 0.76% Asian, 0.31% from other races, and 0.99% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.37% of the population.
There were 449 households out of which 43.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 81.3% were married couples living together, 3.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 13.1% were non-families. 11.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 4.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.92 and the average family size was 3.18.
In the village, the population was spread out with 29.4% under the age of 18, 4.7% from 18 to 24, 22.4% from 25 to 44, 36.0% from 45 to 64, and 7.6% who were 65 years of age or older.
