History

Total Immersion was founded in 1999 in Aubervilliers, France by current CEO, Bruno Uzzan, and former general director Valentin Lefèvre. Their current headquarters are now in Suresnes, France. As the company grew, Total Immersion branched to the United States with their first international office being in San Francisco. After settling their American branch closer to clientele in Los Angeles, they now have offices in London, Hong Kong, and Tokyo with over 90 employees in their 5 international offices. Now with 130 partners around the world, the D’Fusion Suite Software created by Total Immersion is run by over 6,000 developers.

Products

TryLive: The first of its kind "virtual dressing room" is a revolutionary e-commerce and marketing tool created by Total Immersion. TryLive is a multifaceted Augmented Reality solution created for apparel companies to offer their products to "try-on" virtually through digitally integrated software. This breakthrough consists of multiple aspects to virtually demonstrate how a product looks and moves on without it physically present. By simply presenting oneself in front of a "web camera", whether on a computer, a tablet, a digital screen, or even a smart phone the screen will presents an image of the user "wearing" the product in real time. The TryLive application has been tailored to virtually project glasses, shoes, watches, jewelry, furniture, headphones, and all types of clothes.
D’Fusion: The platform used to create personalized Augmented Reality commercial solutions is the D’Fusion Suite established by Total Immersion. It is a multifaceted platform available to design Augmented Reality projects for mobile, web based and professional applications such as industrial, on-stage events and public presentations. The design tool called D’Fusion Studio is offered on their website as a free download to promote the creation of Augmented Reality experiences.

Community: In June 2010 it was announced at the very first Augmented Reality convention ever held, that Total Immersion had created a community logo in attempt to urge a creation of shared standards and a communications framework. This collective, participative process was aimed at advancing uniformity and organization in the world of Augmented Reality users so that the technological community and new members could recognize the logo immediately.
