Tom Waller


Tom Waller is a film director and producer.
Waller founded the production company De Warrenne Pictures Ltd. and secured funding to begin production on the film Monk Dawson, his directorial debut, a story based on an award-winning novel by Piers Paul Read. He went on to produce the films Eviction, Butterfly Man, Ghost of Mae Nak, The Elephant King and Soi Cowboy which was selected in Un Certain Regard at the Cannes Film Festival. His second directorial feature was Mindfulness and Murder, a Thai language murder mystery based on the novel of the same name by Nick Wilgus.
In 2006, he directed the music video El Nin-YO! for Thai singer Tata Young.
Waller has also served as producer on three feature titles for the US studio Millennium Films; , Elephant White and Ninja 2.
In 2016 he won best director award in Dhaka International Film Festival.
In 2018, it was announced that Waller was to direct an independent film about the Tham Luang cave rescue, yet to be released. The film is titled The Cave and played at the 2019 Busan International Film Festival and the 2019 Vancouver International Film Festival.
