Todd Loewen


Douglas Todd Loewen is a Canadian politician who was elected in the 2015 and 2019 Alberta general elections to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta representing the electoral district of Grande Prairie-Smoky in the 29th Alberta Legislature and Central Peace-Notley in the 30th Legislature.

Political career

Loewen has stood as the Wildrose candidate in the 2008 finishing third and 2012 provincial election finishing second before defeating Progressive Conservative incumbent Everett McDonald in the 2015 election increasing his vote each time.
After the election, Loewen was appointed as the official opposition's critic for Environment and Parks, a position he retained when the party merged with the PCs to become the United Conservative Party.
Loewen is seeking the UCP nomination in Central Peace-Notley in the 2019 Alberta election, following redistricting that moved his home town into this constituency.
