Tim Fehlbaum


Tim Fehlbaum is a Swiss film director.

Career

Fehlbaum studied directing from 2002-2009 at the University of Television and Film Munich. While there, he made several short films, including the 2004 short For Julian , which won the top prize at the Shocking Shorts Awards. Fehlbaum has worked as a camera operator in some films, including his own film On Flaucher and the films Children of the Sleeping Quarters, My American Cousin and Double Jeopardy. He also shot music videos for the band Flowerpot.
In 2011 Fehlbaum made his feature film debut with the bleak post-apocalyptic horror film Hell, for which he also co-wrote the screenplay. The film starred Hannah Herzsprung and Lars Eidinger in the lead roles. It has received numerous good reviews. It won the German Film award in the director category and was nominated in six categories for the German film Awards in 2012. The film also appeared in competition at the Locarno International Film Festival and brought Fehlbaum the New Faces Award in 2012.
