The Wimp & The Wild

The Wimp & The Wild is the fourth and final album by John Otway & Wild Willy Barrett; released in 1989.

History

The writing process for The Wimp & The Wild goes back 10 years. "The Wimp" is a re-recorded version of "Losing", the b-side of Whoops Apocalypse. Best Dream is a re-recording of the "Where Did I Go Right?". Fashion had been recorded previously in 1985 for the Swank TV program; that version unreleased until the Scraps compilation.
"The Wild" was recorded as a demo called "Glasgow School of Art". "I Believe" is an alternate version of "Turn Off the Dream " from "All Balls and No Willy". "Focke Wolf" was written by Eddie Stanton and recorded previously on "The Whinging Album".
