The Complaining Cow


The Complaining Cow is the pen name of the consumer commentator, Helen Dewdney, the author of two self-published books: How To Complain: The Essential Consumer Guide to Refunds, Redress and Results! and 101 Habits of an Effective Complainer.
In 2012 Dewdney started the blog The Complaining Cow, telling stories of gaining refunds and redress from companies, and providing tips and advice on how to complain about faulty goods and poor service.

She has appeared on the BBC consumer programme, Rip Off Britain. Having already appeared in the television series, including presenting a short film on hotels, she joined the team in the Pop Ups in 2018.
She has written for the Financial Times, and is the former consumer champion at This is Money.
