Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.65% of the population. There were 955 households of which 28.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 42.4% were married couplesliving together, 11.6% had a female householder with no husband present, 5.1% had a male householder with no wife present, and 40.8% were non-families. 36.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 16.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.27 and the average family size was 2.93. The median age in the city was 42.7 years. 23.5% of residents were under the age of 18; 8.8% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 20.3% were from 25 to 44; 26.5% were from 45 to 64; and 21% were 65 years of age or older. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.68% of the population. There were 931 households out of which 28.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 47.2% were married couples living together, 11.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 38.6% were non-families. 36.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 19.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.26 and the average family size was 2.91. In the city the population was spread out with 25.0% under the age of 18, 8.5% from 18 to 24, 23.1% from 25 to 44, 21.0% from 45 to 64, and 22.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females, there were 81.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 77.0 males.
