Terry O'Dea


Terry O'Dea is a retired Australian professional darts player who competed in the 1970s & 1980s.

Darts career

O'Dea rejoined on the BDO in 1978 of the Australian with the Golden Darts Championships who are Matt Banovich and Tim Brown.
O'Dea made his debut of the 1979 WDF World Cup here we is Team Australia who are Alan Grant, Frank Palko and Barry Atkinson.
In 1980, On the Unipart World Team Matchplay players are Barry Atkinson and Tim Brown To Australia.
O'Dea making his second majors on the 1983 WDF World Cup who are David Crack, Frank Palko and Russell Stewart Team Australia
O'Dea played in ten successive BDO World Darts Championships with his best run coming in 1982 and 1986 where he reached the quarter finals. O'Dea also played in four World Masters tournaments, reaching the quarter finals in 1984 and 1986.
He has appeared on the UK television show Bullseye presented by Jim Bowen in 1984 where he scored 300 points for charity. He appeared two years later and scored 305.
O'Dea played in the 1985 WDF World Cup Team who are Russell Stewart, Frank Palko and Horrie Seden beat semi finals to Scotland are Jocky Wilson, Rob MacKenzie Danny Cunningham and Jim McGuigan by 7 legs to 9 and losing to USA he beating Rick Ney, Tony Payne, Dan Valletto and John Kramer by 6 legs to 9.
O'Dea Quit on the BDO in 1988.
