Terminal Inc. or simply Terminal is a remote teams company, founded by venture investors Andrew Dudum, Dylan Serota, Jack Abraham, Joe Lonsdale, and Luke Finney in 2017. The company has corporate offices in San Francisco and New York. Clay Kellogg is the Chief Executive Officcer of the company.

Business model

Terminal provides services and infrastructure that allows businesses to build remote engineering teams. The main customers of the company are fast-growing startups such as Bluescape, Chime, or NextDoor.
Terminal receives an ongoing service fee linked to the success of the teams it helps build.

History

In 2017, Terminal was launched in Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver, due to their high density of engineering talent and engineering universities.
In May 2018, Terminal raised 10 million dollars in a Series A funding backed by Lightspeed Venture Partners, Thiel Capital, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Atomic, Craft Ventures, and Jerry Yang.
In September 2019, the company raised 17 million dollars in a Series B round of funding to continue its expansion into more tech hubs.
In April 2020, Terminal acquired the Texas-based AI-powered recruitment startup Roikoi.
