Tarneit railway station
Tarneit railway station serves the western Melbourne suburb of Tarneit. It is on the Deer Park - West Werribee railway line in Victoria, Australia, which forms part of the Regional Rail Link.
The station was officially opened on 14 June 2015 by Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews and the Commonwealth Minister for Infrastructure & Regional Development Warren Truss, and services commenced on 21 June 2015. It quickly became the second-busiest V/Line station after Melbourne Southern Cross.
The station will eventually become part of the metropolitan network under the Western Rail Plan, announced by the Andrews government in 2018.Platforms and services
Tarneit has two side platforms. It is served by V/Line Geelong and weekend Warrnambool trains.
Platform 1:
- Geelong line: V/Line services to Southern Cross
- Warrnambool line: Weekend V/Line services to Southern Cross
Platform 2:
- Geelong line: V/Line services to Wyndham Vale, Geelong & Waurn Ponds
- Warrnambool line: Weekend V/Line services to Warrnambool
