Tamatea High School

Tamatea High School is a state secondary co-educational school located in Napier, New Zealand. The school was opened in 1975.
As of April 2020, the principal was Robin Fabish, though as of July 2020 Nigel Groom is acting principal.
According to a 2016 ERO report, the school had a roll of 287. Over half of the students were Māori, and most students came to Tamatea High School from Tamatea Intermediate. The school is a decile three school, which means that the school largely draws its students from low socio-economic communities. Tamatea principal Robin Fasish said that some students come to school without the correct uniform or don't have the resources such as stationary or food, and the school often covers student costs and loans uniforms.
