Take Me Away (Fefe Dobson song)


"Take Me Away" is a song co-written and recorded by Canadian singer-songwriter Fefe Dobson with the record's producer, Jay Levine, for Dobson's self-titled debut album. It was released to American contemporary hit radio on August 18, 2003 as the album's second single and first to be promoted internationally. "Take Me Away" reached a peak of 87 on the Billboard Hot 100, her only single to reach the chart to date.

Critical reception

Chuck Taylor of Billboard called "Take Me Away" a "refreshing change of pace" in the pop music landscape and wrote that the song "rocks steady with a siren assault of hyper-hooky guitars."

There is a version "For Promotional Use Only" sometimes referred to as a DJ single, with just the song and a brief "CALL OUT HOOK." It has a slight variation to the cover art and the title is rather plainly displayed in the upper right corner.
