Taina Salmia
Taina Salmia is a Finnish former long track speed skater, who was active in the 1970s and 1980s.
Salmia represented her nation twice at the World Sprint Speed Skating Championships for Women in 1980 and in 1983. She competed at the World Allround Speed Skating Championships for Women in 1985, finishing 29th overall. She participated at the European Speed Skating Championships for Women in 1982, 1983 and 1986. She also competed at other international competitions, including at ISU Speed Skating World Cups.
Between 1979 and 1987 she competed a total of 15 times at the Finnish Allround Championships and Finnish Sprint Championships. She became national sprint champion in 1982 and 1983 and national allround champion in 1986. Furthermore she won at the national championships 2 silver and 3 bronze medals.Records
