Strike (estate agent)

Strike is an online estate agent located in the UK, founded by Alexander Gosling and Sophie Cronin in 2007. The company was previously known as Housesimple and rebranded to Strike in 2020, relaunching on the idea of selling homes for free. Investors include Charles Dunstone.
As of 2019, Strike is the UK's fifth largest estate agency. It has helped more than 30,000 people move home and has sold property with a total value of more than £2.5 billion.
In June 2019, the company announced that it would sell homes for free. Sellers receive local expert valuations, photos and floorplan, adverts on property listing sights including Rightmove and Zoopla, a ‘for sale’ board, negotiations and sales progression, and the support of a dedicated team from valuation through to completion.
Strike earns referral fees from additional services it offers, such as conveyancing and insurance advice, which allows it to sell homes without charging customers any estate agent fees.
