Straight from the Lab

Straight from the Lab, released in 2003, is a bootleg compilation of unofficially released songs by Eminem. The tracks originally appeared on the Internet as a seven-track mixtape in the United States, before being issued as a sixteen-track bootleg in Europe. A second compilation, titled Straight from the Lab Part 2, leaked in 2011.

Songs

The song "We Are Americans" was later retitled "We as Americans", shortened by approximately 20 seconds, and it is included in a bonus disc on Eminem's fifth studio album Encore.
"Love You More" also appears on the bonus disc of Encore. "Come On In" was later retitled "Six in the Morning", and was used on D12's second studio album, D12 World.
The diss track "Bully" is aimed at rappers Benzino, Irv Gotti and Ja Rule.
"Can-I-Bitch" samples Slick Rick's song "Children's Story" in the first verse. It is also a word play on the title of Canibus's first album, entitled Can-I-Bus being a diss track to Canibus and is an answer song to the Pet Shop Boys' 2002 song "The Night I Fell in Love".
Another diss track titled "Hailie's Revenge", which features background vocals from Eminem's daughter Hailie Jade, is a response to Ja Rule's song "Loose Change", in which Ja Rule has insulted Eminem's family, including Hailie.
The uncensored version of "The Kids" appears here, on the second single The Way I Am, and the UK and Australian editions of The Marshall Mathers LP. The clean version appears on The Marshall Mathers LP and immediately replaces "Kim".
"Explosion" is featured on the 2002 soundtrack Music from and Inspired by the Motion Picture 8 Mile, with the latter being credited as "Rabbit Run".
"Stimulate" is also featured in Music from and Inspired by the Motion Picture 8 Mile, in The Special Edition Bonus Disc
