Crudia zeylanica


Crudia zeylanica was a species of legume in the family Fabaceae.
It was found only in Sri Lanka.The Crudia zeylanica has been extinct since 1988. This is due to farming and environmental issues. The Crudia zeylanica produced a form of fruit.

Rediscovery

This tree once thought to be extinct has been rediscovered recently and the two specimens discovered are again under threat due to being located along the trace of Colombo - Kandy Expressway.
