Sophie Lascelles


Sophie Amber Pearce is an English photographer, and a relative of the current British Royal Family. She is currently 68th in the line of succession to the British throne as of January 2020 and a first cousin, twice removed of The Queen.

Early life and family

Lascelles was born in Thorpeness, the daughter of James Lascelles and his first wife, Frederica Ann Duhrssen. Her paternal grandfather is George Lascelles, 7th Earl of Harewood. Lascelles is in the line of succession to the British throne because she is a great-great-granddaughter of King George V. She is a first cousin, twice removed, to Queen Elizabeth II through her grandfather, George Lascelles, 7th Earl of Harewood.

Education

From 1997 to 1998, Lascelles studied at the Art and Design Foundation of Coventry University. She attended Middlesex University from 1998 to 2001, where she earned a B.A. in Fine Arts. She then went on to earn her M.F.A. in Fine Arts from the Slade School of Fine Art.

Career

Sophie Lascelles worked with Footsbarn Travelling Theatre in the early 1990s. She also exhibits her photography at studios such as Danielle Arnaud.

Personal life

Sophie married Timothy Pearce on 11 June 2011. They had had a daughter, Lilianda Rose Pearce, the previous year.
