Sir Thomas Osborne, 9th Baronet


Sir Thomas Osborne, 9th Baronet, MP was an Irish baronet and politician.

Biography

He was the eldest son of Sir William Osborne, 8th Baronet and wife Elizabeth née Christmas.
Sir Thomas sat as a Member of Parliament in the Irish House of Commons for Carysfort between 1776 and 1797 and served as High Sheriff of County Waterford in 1795, having succeeded to the baronetcy upon his father's death in 1783.

Marriage and issue

Osborne married on 6 April 1816 at St. Margaret's Church, Rochester, Kent, Catherine Rebecca Smith. Catherine Rebecca Smith was the daughter of Major Robert Smith RM and his wife Margaret Ramsay, and a granddaughter of the Revd James Ramsay and his wife Rebecca Akers.
