Sioux City Packers
The Sioux City Packers was the primary name of the minor league baseball team based in Sioux City, Iowa playing in various seasons between 1888 and 1960.
History
Sioux City has a long professional baseball history. The team was known as the Sioux City Soos, Sioux City Cowboys, Sioux City Cardinals, Sioux City Packers, Sicoux City Indians, Sioux City Cornuskers and the Sioux City Huskers. Sioux City played in the Western League, Three-I League, Central Association, Iowa State League and the Western Association. Sioux City was an affiliate of the New York Giants, St. Louis Cardinals, Kansas City A's and the Detroit Tigers.Notable Alumni
