Siege of Sirhind


The Siege of Sirhind was fought between the Mughals and Sikh forces in 1710. The Sikhs besieged and stormed the city of Sirhind, and captured the city and quickly moved on to attack the Mughals at the Battle of Rahon.
Wazir Khan was beheaded in the battle.

Aftermath

When the Mughals captured back Sirhind from Banda's forces in 1716, the mughals ordered that all men, women, and children be executed. All residents of Sirhind, whether they were men, women, or children, were burned alive or slain.
