Sid Gilman


Sid Gilman is a neurologist and expert on Alzheimer's disease at the University of Michigan.
He attended the University of California, Los Angeles, where he received the highest academic honors, and the Harvard Medical School.

Bapineuzumab controversy

In 2013, Gilman was implicated in the insider trading scandal concerning the Alzheimer's medication bapineuzumab. For that reason the university disassociated itself with him.

Personal life

In 1984 he married Carol Barbour, a psychoanalyst.
