Shkodër District
Shkodër District was one of the thirty-six districts of Albania that is now part of Shkodër County. It had a population of 185,646, and an area of 1,973 km². It is in the north of the country, and its capital was Shkodër.
Religion in Shkoder is 70% Muslim, 28% Chatolic, 1% Orthodox, 1% Undclared The area includes significant tourist attractions, such as Rozafa Castle ; one of the biggest and most famous castles in Albania, with the 13–14th century St. Stephen's Church in its court, later converted to a mosque; the Ottoman-era Historical Museum building ; and the National Photo Gallery.The district consisted of the following municipalities:Shkodër Municipality
